Who uses a library anymore?
If your library is anything like the Hays Public Library, the answer is – everyone! In addition to their collection of over 300,000 print and digital materials, the library hosts hundreds of programs for all ages each year. Pop into the newly renovated space and you might find patrons engaged in a book discussion group, taking a painting class, or attending a presentation on gardening. Upstairs on the children’s floor, you won’t find any “shhh-ing.” Kids are enjoying story time, crafts, chess club, movies, and more. Downstairs in the Kansas Room, you’ll find local and regional archives, fascinating historic photos and documents, and genealogical resources.
If there is learning to be done, the Hays Public Library will be there to provide resources. Explore your new space in our virtual tour, then stop by 1205 Main Street and see it for yourself.
Be sure to follow the Hays Convention & Visitors Bureau on Facebook to be the first to see new tours. They can also be found here.
