Hays Public Library hosts: Brown Bag Lunch & Public Screening of the Short Documentary, "When the Well Runs Dry"

Wednesday, May 12, 2021

Bring your lunch to the library & enjoy the short, 31 minute, documentary film by Steve Lerner. Stay as long as you want after the film for a discussion.

This film tenderly portrays the vital connection that rural Kansans have with water, our most precious resource. Ranchers, farmers, & residents of small Kansas towns. tell us their heartfelt, personal stories about water., including the ongoing threats they face to the availability of the water they depend on.

Directed by Rueben Aaronson & Steve Lerner.  Produced by NGO Films & Florence Historical Society.  Supported by a grant from Humanities Kansas.

Join us to participate in the Humanities Kansas Crossroads: Change in Rural America initiative May 1st-June 13th, 2021.
