The Humane Society is conducting a shoe drive from January 10-March 10 to raise funds for medical care for the animals that come to us.
The Humane Society will earn funds based on the total weight of the shoes collected as Funds2Org will purchase all of the donated footwear. Those dollars will benefit multiple animals in our care. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used, or new shoes at the Humane Society or the Hays Public Library.
All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Org network of microenterprise partners in developing nations.
Funds2Org helps impoverished people start, maintain, & grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras, & other nations in Central America & Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe, & house their families.
These shoes will be given a second chance & make a difference in people's lives.
