Replacing two Hays Arts Center HVAC units in the past 11 months - in addition to replacing antiquated lighting & painting the ceiling in the HAC Annex - required tapping into HAC reserve funds. So, to replace some of those funds & capitalize on some art donations we’ve had tucked away, we’ve decided it’s the perfect time to clear out storage & share some treasures with you. . . paintings, ceramics, sculpture, photographs, fiber art, fine art prints, hand crafted jewelry, pottery, frames, reproduction art & decorative items. . . . art recycling at its best!

And while we do have a nice assortment of various things from previous donations, it would be really awesome to collect some new items. So, if you have any artsy treasures that are too special to toss, but have been relegated to the basement or hall closet, let us help find them a new home while you help out the “home of the arts” in Hays! (& your gift to us could be tax deductible!) But remember, we’re collecting art & decorative items only – NO other “garage sale” type items for this fundraiser.

So if you have anything you’d be willing to send our way, it would be most appreciated!  But even if you don’t, be sure to mark your calendar for Summer Shakedown! - August 11 through 17
