FHSU Student Engagement presents FHSU Family & Friends Day!!! Come on out to cheer on the TIGERS!! Hall of Fame. Friends & Family Weekend! Check out all of the many things going on throughout the day!
Schedule of events:
7:30AM-11:00AM Downtown Hays Market: Downtown Pavilion, 1200 Main Street
- Enjoy items such as fresh produce, cut flowers, live plants, baked goods, honey, jams, & handcrafted items, including jewelry, soaps, & more!
8:30AM-11:00AM Fishing Derby: Hammond Hall Circle Drive
- Gear & bait are available for families to fish for catfish. Fish will be cleaned & filleted for participants. Free fish fry for the first 100 participants, hosted by the Office of Campus Intramurals & Recreation, contact for questions, 785-628-4373 or intramurals@fhsu.edu.
10:00AM-3:00PM Downtown Hays Tailgate on the Bricks: Select Downtown Hays Merchants
- The businesses on the bricks of downtown Hays want to welcome you to Hays with in-store specials & treats.
10:00AM-4:00PM Tiger Shopping Spree: Victor E. Apparel & Gift Co., Memorial Union
- Stop into the newly renovated location on the 1st floor of the Memorial Union to stock up on your tiger apparel & gear & get 15% off your entire purchase!
11:00AM-1:00PM Family Day Open House: United Methodist Campus Center, 507 Elm Street, Hays, KS
- Come to their open house & get a free lunch! Bring yourself, your friends, & your family to the Center for the annual FHSU family weekend event.
1:00PM-2:30PM MakerSpace: Forsyth Library, Lower Level
- Families will be able to make stickers, experiment with robots, & learn about 3D printing.
1:00PM-5:00PM Family Splash: Cunningham Hall Pool
- Put those swimsuits & goggles on and end summer with a big splash with the whole family!
3:00PM-5:00PM Country Dance Lessons by Barn Hoppers: Cunningham Hall 122 (Dance Room)
- Learn how to Swing dance, Two-step, Line dance, or brush up on old skills.
5:30PM-6:45PM Tiger Carnival Tailgate: East Side of Lewis Field Stadium
- Students & families can join Student Engagement for a free tailgate before the FHSU football game. Families & students can: football toss, cross net, commercial bingo, cornhole, dunk tank, cup toss, service projects, & free giveaways!
7:00PM-10:00PM FHSU Tigers Football Game
