FHSU Management Development Center Workshop: Managing Employee Job Performance

This workshop provides guidance & tools to manage poor performers, employees meeting expectations, & star performers. In today’s work environment, managing performance & providing feedback are key to retaining good employees. Participants will learn to manage performance on a day-to-day basis, to provide performance feedback on a periodic basis, to address poor performance, & to successfully tackle long-standing performance problems. In addition, tips & strategies will be provided to keep motivation in place for star performers & those meeting expectations.

Communicate goals & expectations to each team member
Manage balanced performance check-ins
Determine when it is appropriate to use formal disciplinary action
Understand the importance of documentation & apply techniques to properly document employee performance

Ruth Bealer, SHRM-SCP has experience in both the public & private sector, & currently serves as the owner & operator of HR Success Live. Ruth brings a wealth of experience in employee & labor relations, performance management, culture change, & has an HR generalist background. Ruth has worked with major corporations as well as with mid-size local organizations. Participants will find her approach to human resources & workplace issues to be very practical & easy to implement. She brings concept & theory to life with her examples of challenges faced by Human Resources professionals & Supervisory personnel.
